Advisory Groups are a Huge Success!

posted Oct 7, 2016, 11:18 AM by Chuck Caragianes

Good afternoon,

It was a great morning at Maynard High as students and faculty members had one of our monthly Advisory Meetings during 2nd period.  The group of students I was working with along with Mr. Flynn was lead by Technology teacher John Mollica and we began the process of examining our ticket booth near Alumni Field to plan for repairs and upgrades.  The actual work will be completed in future Advisory meetings.

Advisory meetings are an opportunity for students to get to know additional peers, work with faculty in a different sort of environment and to do so around a topic of mutual interest.  Today student selected groups ranged from yoga, to knitting to Renaissance Dance, to construction and many, many more.  You may want to talk to your student to see what they selected and how their session  went.

Our students working with Mr. Ogden continue to put out there own weekly News update regarding Maynard High School and the link to this week’s video broadcast is:   Please check it out!
