Boo! A Real Treat: The End of the First Quarter is here.

posted Oct 28, 2016, 12:14 PM by Chuck Caragianes

Good afternoon,

The end of the first marking quarter is one week away on Friday November 4th.  Report cards will be out by the end of the following week.  Have a chat with your student about finishing the quarter well.  Its an important topic and a good first quarter tends to greatly reduce a student’s stress level for the remainder of the year.

On a related note, Save these dates!  Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday afternoon November 16th from 2:15-3:30pm and Thursday night November 17th from 6:30-8:00pm.   Information about the sign-up & appointment process will be out by next Friday November 4th.

Our students continue to make terrific academic progress this year and extracurricular clubs and activities are in full swing.  On the sports fields the fall season is rapidly coming to a close with several of our teams and individuals eligible for post season and playoff competition.

Speaking of sports, several of our students have entered a video competition about sports sponsored by the MIAA and their submissions follow:

A weekly video update on News from Maynard High School also is here for your viewing pleasure at

Some additional information about upcoming activities and information follows:

WAVM and MHS are trying to increase our viewership of all high school sports.  If you are a parent or loved-one that enjoys taking video of high school sports (particularly fall sports: Field Hockey, Girls and Boys Soccer, Cross Country) please contact and we can work together to provide viewership for anybody who may want to watch a match they missed, or even to study some film.  Thank you for your assistance.

News from Maynard SEPAC

Home/School Communication

In an effort to improve communication across the district one of our faculty members, Jean LaBelle, is taking the lead on researching communications issues for the district and using the information she gathers to formulate next steps and plans for improvements.

Please click on the link below and help us by taking a survey to help us generate the information we need to be more effective.  We have tried getting this link out by other means through our central office, but thus far response has been very limited.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could take a minute or two to complete the survey to help us serve you better.  Many thanks in advance.
