Cross Country Returns to MHS...Go Tigers!

posted Sep 9, 2016, 9:35 AM by Chuck Caragianes

Good afternoon--

Our second week of school has gone amazingly well with our students off to a terrific start as a group.  Clubs and activities, as well as our fall sports teams, are all swinging into action and student enrollment in school sponsored, extracurricular activities is very high and continues to grow.  It’s never too late for our students to get involved so if your son or daughter is interested in becoming involved in an activity let them know that all they need to do is join.

Today will be incredibly active after school with soccer matches at Alumni Field, Field Hockey facing off on the field immediately behind the high school, and our first MIAA home Cross Country Meet to take place in many years starting and finishing behind the high school.  Come on down and root for the scores of MHS Tiger student-athletes who will be competing.

Do you have gently used Halloween costumes that you are ready to part with?

The Class of 2018 will gladly accept your donations of all sizes from 9/9 to 9/23! Please wash costumes before dropping them off in the boxes located in the lobby near the main office of each school. We will host the Halloween Costume Sale on Sunday, 9/25 and will donate all unsold costumes to local charities. Stay tuned for more information about the event!

Please email with any questions.

Back to School Night

This year our annual Back to School Night will be held on Tuesday September 27th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Maynard High School.  This is a wonderful opportunity to go through your student’s schedule and meet all of  your son’s and daughter’s teachers.

Shortly after 1st quarter report cards are issued another evening will be scheduled for meetings with individual teachers to discuss your child’s progress.  Teacher meetings can also be scheduled at any time by contacting your student’s guidance counselor.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful weekend even as we pause to reflect this Sunday on the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
