Go Tigers!

posted Nov 18, 2016, 7:44 AM by Chuck Caragianes

Good morning,

Over the past two days, on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening, we were happy to have dozens of parents come in to visit with their children’s teachers for Parent Teacher conferences.  Should you wish to meet with a teacher it is not too late.  Simply contact your student’s Guidance Counselor or our main office staff and arrangements can be made.

First quarter report cards are now closed and we will soon end the fall sports season.  We are most definitely moving into the middle of the year and have reached this point coming off a great beginning.  Winter sports sign-ups have been completed and tryouts and practices will begin the week after Thanksgiving.  It’s not too late to sign up, however.  Please contact Mr. Caruso for details should you have a student who wishes to sign up for winter sports.  It’s also never too late for a student to join a non-sports club or activity as well.

Saturday promises to be a busy one for activities related to Maynard High School.  Our football team will be in action in a State Semi-Final versus Turner Falls at Doyle Field in Leominister at 6:00pm and the Maynard Music Association will be hosting its annual Casino Night at the Maynard Elks from 6:30-11:00pm.  Come on out and enjoy them both!

Some additional information about upcoming activities and information follows:

Fire & Flag Football

The MHS Senior class is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Powderpuff Football Game on Monday the 21st of November at 6pm. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. We hope to see you there!
