Kudos to the Students of MHS!

posted Oct 27, 2017, 10:14 AM by Chuck Caragianes

Good afternoon,

Maynard High School students involved with our environmental club, the Green Committee, took part in a panel discussion in downtown Maynard recently after the screening of the new film An Inconvenient Sequel:  Truth to Power.  Our group of students were able to discuss the history and growth of the organization and are at the forefront of environmental efforts in Maynard.  A heartfelt letter of appreciation has been received on behalf of the event organizers directed to the students of The Green Committee and many thanks go out to the group’s faculty advisor Rochelle Lerner for her efforts locating opportunities for our students to shine.

Another noteworthy accomplishment by our students occurred this week. The second place video in this year's MIAA New England Patriot's Sports Video Competition was written, directed, produced, edited by students in Mr. Ogden’s class and stars Madelyn Bottasso, Aaron Jacob, & Eva Charbonneau!

The video was second in all of New England and our students will be honorary guests at this year's Sportsmanship Summit at Gillette Stadium.

Just click on their names to see the video!

Of particular note:  the end of the first marking quarter of the year is now coming up quickly in just 1 week on Friday November 3rd.  Please help make sure that your student is on top of all of his or her classes with a strong finish to the quarter featuring excellent attendance and quality completion of all assignments.

Notice of Roadway Construction

Beginning on Monday, October 30th the Great Road (Rt. 117) will be undergoing roadway construction between Summer Hill Road to Sherman Street.  This construction is planned for completion in approximately one week.
