Good morning,

A huge shout out goes to all of the students, staff and volunteers who made this year’s Beacon Santa Telethon such a rousing success with over $38,000 raised to benefit children and families across the greater Maynard area.  The telethon is one of our signature events at Maynard High School and is a true testament to our entire school community.

Our student musicians were also showed themselves to be in great form this past Wednesday as hundreds upon hundreds of people joined  us for our annual Winter Concert.  A huge shout out goes to Mrs. Blanchard and all of our student performers for a wonderful winter’s evening.

Next up are our Jazz and Wind Ensembles performing next Wednesday night December 20th starting at 7:00pm under the direction of Patricia Gately.  Usher in the winter solstice a day early by joining us for this fantastic showcase on the second longest night of the year.

Another Maynard High celebration will be held tonight, Friday December 15th, when the basketball program opens up with a Girls & Boys varsity double header vs. Littleton at Maynard High School. Girls tip-off is at 5:30pm and boys tip-off at 7:30pm.  At 7:00pm there will be a special ring ceremony for the 2017 Boys State Championship Team.

Once again, it’s been another great week at MHS with our students leading the way!

From Our Health Services

Flu season is just about upon us.  Below you will find links to "The Flu: A Guide for Parents" thanks to our school nurse Mary Ferranti.  The links are in English, Spanish and Portuguese and are also available on the Health Services page for the Maynard Public Schools.

From Our Food Service

Starting Monday 12/11 the food service department will no longer offer products with peanuts in it. The only product we had offered with any peanut in it was the Teddie's peanut butter we had used for sandwiches. Sun Butter will be offered as a substitute upon request.

Boost Our Boosters!

Maynard Sports Boosters offer many terrific items through their school store link, the proceeds of which benefit our students.  With the colder weather coming, and holidays around the corner, check out their offerings of clothing and more at the following link:

From the Organizers of Maynard Earth Day 2018

Maynard’s history is intertwined with the local natural resources which have sustained the economic growth since early Native American days.

The Town has made environmental sustainability a priority, receiving its first Green Community designation.

How can we celebrate our history, natural resources, and vision for a sustainable future?

Join us for a brainstorm session!
