This Week at MHS: 11/4/2011

posted Nov 4, 2011, 6:16 AM by Paul Orzech

This has been a challenging week for us at MHS. The "snow" day on Monday kind of put everyone slightly out of the routine. But teachers and students have persevered. We thank everyone for their cooperation.

** The PLAN (practice ACT test) will be given tomorrow morning. Any student who would like to participate who has not already signed up should come to the high school at 7:45 am tomorrow and see Mrs. MacLean. Students should bring a check to cover the cost of the test.

** Ms. LaBelle, Mr. Orzech, and Mr. Grandin are in desperate need of senior project internships. As you may know about 10 - 12 seniors each year have participated in our pilot program for senior projects. Part of the senior project involves students going out and working in their field of interest. We are especially looking for internships in the areas of the music industry, social services, promotions/marketing, and child therapy. If you, your company, or someone you know would be willing to sponsor the internship of one of our senior project students in these fields or any other field please email Ms. LaBelle at

** The Boys Soccer team will face off in the first round of tournament play on Saturday at 7:00 at Alumnae Field. The Girls Soccer team will play on Saturday at 2:00 against Tahanto but at a neutral field as Tahanto is in the process of building their new high school and their fields are unavailable. Go TIGERS!

** Tiger Football travels to Winchendon tonight. Mark your calendars for the first annual Tiger Bomb Fire to be held at Alumae Field on Wednesday, November 23rd at 5:30. Come cheer our Tigers on as they prepare to go up against Clinton for the Thanksgiving football game.

Have a great weekend!
