As advertised last week was a VERY busy week here at Maynard High School!
MONDAY: Some of our Best Buddies students helped out at the SEPAC Holiday Social. Taylor and Jackie Whitney, Tina Quintal, and CJ Jones helped out with crafts and cookie decorating much to the delight of the parents and students! Great job!
WEDNESDAY: Thanks to the generosity of our booster club all of our fall athletes were recognized at the Fall Sports banquet. Following enjoying some outstanding desserts, our athletes received some well-deserved kudos for their superb fall season. We thank the Boosters Club and all the parents for their participation in this great event.
THURSDAY: We had the pleasure of welcoming 7th and 8th grade parents for an information night about the high school. Mr. Vanaria, Ms. Steigerwald, and Ms. LaBelle described the exciting curriculum offered by the high school staff. Ms. MacLean and Ms. Muise reviewed the guidance supports and curriculum offerings for freshmen. The parents viewed a video on the vision for the new high school developed by Ms. Dowd and our Creative Technologies classes. Here is the link for that video: http://youtu.be/rzLYZt_ZYSM
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: Friday at 8:00 the students and staff of WAVM kicked off the 29th annual WAVM telethon. Dr. Chesson, Dr. Gerardi, Dr. Kohlman, school committee vice-chair, Mr. Mike Sullivan, town manager, and other local officials and telethon chairs helped start the weekend off strong.
