DID YOU KNOW???????????????
** Mr. Kieran Bagge, from Brandeis University, is student teaching in two Modern World classes under the supervision of Mr. Waldron
** Mrs. Danielle Bearden recently received a grant from the Maynard Educational Foundation which allowed the high school to purchase 20 TI N-Spires, a new hand-held device that allows students to explore Geometry concepts using technology. Our new math textbooks for Geometry include activities with the N-Spires in each chapter. Our thanks to MEF for this support!
**  Our senior project students recently presented their first term research projects and their plans for their internships for the spring. Under the direction of Mrs. LaBelle, Mr. Orzech, and Mr. Grandin the students created presentations using Prezzi, a new Web 2.0 tool, for presentations. Each week we will be sharing one of the senior project students and information about his/her internships.  This week's senior project superstar is Allison Bosse. Allison will be interning at the Melanoma Foundation of New England trying to raise awareness of high school students as to the dangers of tanning beds. Allison's research on the impact of just one tanning bed session on the likelihood of a teenager developing melanoma was sobering. Need more information on this senior project? See the high school website.
See more senior project superstars each week! For more information on senior projects at MHS email Mrs. LaBelle at
