Hope everyone had a great vacation! Things really start heating up as we move closer to spring.

** College planning night is this Thursday March 1st. All juniors and their parents, and any interested sophomores and their parents are invited to attend. The event will be held at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.

** The girls basketball team plays their first play-off game tonight against Parker Charter at SHIRLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL located at 1 Hospital Road in Shirley. Route 2 west to exit 37B Jackson Road/Devens. Follow Jackson Rd. all the way through Devens (about 3 miles) as you exit the Devens gate take left at stop sign on Ayer/Shirley Raod. After 2 miles you will see Shirley Middle School on left. Take next left on Hospital Road. Gym is in the back/left. Tip-off is 7:00 pm.

** Mr. Flynn and Mr. Orzech's students are just wrapping up a great 21st Century Learning Project in which they collaborated with a local band to create promotional products for their upcoming benefit concert to raise money for the Maynard Community Chest. After meeting the band and having a Q&A session with them, their students created band logos, posters, ticket designs, and website.

The band ended up selecting 2 student-designed posters to mass produce to help promote the event, and 1 student design to use as a ticket. They are currently making all final edits and should be sending everything to the printers by the week's end. All current versions of the student artwork is now viewable on our website, and revised/final versions should be up shortly. Check out this great work!

** There are only four weeks remaining to the third quarter! The quarter closes March 30th. Parents should check IPASS to monitor students progress.

** Course selections for the 2012/2013 school will be begin April 2nd. More information about this process will be coming in the next couple of weeks.
