NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

In compliance with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regulation 603 CMR 23.06 (3), The Maynard School District will destroy the Special Education records of any Maynard student who transferred, graduated, withdrew or terminated from Special Education programs or services on or before June 30, 2018 or has a birth year of 2000 or earlier. This is in accordance with the requirement to destroy such records after a period of seven years.

Any parent/guardian or eligible student can obtain their student record within 30 days of notice. To obtain records prior to their destruction, please contact Students Services, at 978-897-2138, to request and arrange a date/time to pick up records.

All unclaimed student records meeting the above criteria will be destroyed after December 15, 2025
